10 Ways to Thrive This Year

  1. Know your identity! What makes you unique? What sets your studio  apart from others? When you can answer these questions, you can promote your studio with confidence.

  2. Based on your identity, you can now identify your target audience. Let them know your studio answers their needs. Who is your target audience, what are they looking for and how do your services directly address their unique issues?

  3. Engage your students and families by making it personal. Exceptional customer  service makes  people feel important. It’s the difference between attending a studio  and belonging to a studio family.

  4. Engagement becomes community. The more you engage your students and families and connect them to other students and families, the more loyal a community you build.

  5. Don’t operate without technology. As much as you can, automate and streamline your processes. Parents are running from one thing to another! Just getting their child where they need to be presents its own challenges for them. You increase your chances at attracting and retaining students when you make it easy for them to join and attend.

  6. Besides registration, management software is a must! Track student progress, attendance, birthdays, special accomplishments, etc. This is a demonstration of how much you value them.

  7. Seems like a no-brainer, but provide the best possible member experience. Diverse offerings, a clean and up-to-date facility, convenient scheduling, knowledgeable and attentive staff, all promote a positive atmosphere and excellent experience.

  8. Like it or not, an online presence is a must! Managing your website and social media accounts assures the voice, culture, and effectiveness of your brand, and reaches your target audience.

  9. Consistently look for ways to add value to your services. Group challenges, one-one-one offerings, attendance rewards.

  10. Know your competition. This will help you keep your finger on the pulse of your industry; Market expectations, client preferences, pricing, and trends. When you’re watching for shifts you can pivot and adjust in order to stay current and set apart.

Don’t be complacent. If you know there are things that need upgrading or changed, do it. If you aren't sure what to change, ask your clients. Surveys are a great way to get honest feedback and ensure that you are offering your clients the best possible experience!
